Maidea Gluten Free Penne Rigate has a cylindrical shape, with pieces around 5 cm in length and the ends cut at a bias. It is believed that the shape was intended to imitate a fountain pen's steel nib. It is one of the most popular forms of pasta in Australia and can be enjoyed with all kinds of pasta sauces as well as pasta bakes.
Maidea's gluten free pasta is made in a 100% dedicated gluten free facility and is specifically formulated for those with coeliac disease. Made from corn and rice, it performs just as well as wheat pasta and tastes amazing! Bring part of Italy into your kitchen with this premium gluten free pasta.
For every 100g of pasta, add 1 litre of water to a large pot and bring to the boil. Add salt (optional) to boiling water and then add Maidea pasta. Stir occasionally whilst cooking for approximately 10 minutes or until desired texture is reached. Drain pasta and serve.
