There’s something special about marble cake that makes it hard to resist. Cooking them is also a lot of fun, especially for the kids; you never know how the final cake will look! This cake mix includes a separate chocolate sachet to create a cool looking marbled effect and also choc icing. With everything in the box, creating this cake is child’s play!

This recipe can be made vegan too! Simple use a vegan egg replacer or chia seeds; instructions are included.

Free from gluten, wheat, dairy, lactose, tree nuts, peanut, soy, egg, and suitable for those following a Vegan/Vegetarian diet. Halal and Kosher.

  • 1 packet Marble Cake Mix
  • 3 Eggs
  • 125g margarine or butter


  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (160°C fan forced).
  2. Grease or line a 20cm round or equivalent rectangular tin.
  3. In a large bowl combine water, eggs and margarine with marble cake mix gently with a wooden spoon to a smooth consistency.
  4. Pour the batter into prepared cake tin, leaving about 3 tablespoons in the bowl.
  5. Add sachet of chocolate provided and water to remaining batter and stir until smooth.
  6. Pour the chocolate batter on top of the vanilla mix in the tin, gently swirl and fold with a knife.
  7. Set to bake for 40 minutes.
  8. Rest for 5 minutes in the cake tin, then place on a wire rack to cool.

How to Make Icing:

  1. In a bowl combine icing mixture with margarine, mix with a hand mixer gradually adding the water until icing is a smooth and creamy consistency.
  2. Allow to cool and then spread over the cake with a spatula or broad knife.
