Gordon Rhodes richly spiced vegan chilli non carne recipe sauce mix with crushed chilli seeds. Free from meat and gluten, slow cook for the laid back way to get a kick out of your veg.

 Ingredients:

  • 1 Packet Chilli Non Carne Mix (75g)
  • 1 Tin haricot beans (400g)
  • 1 Tin red kidney beans (400g)
  • 1 Tin borlotti beans (400g)
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 1 Red pepper, chopped
  • 1 Green pepper, chopped
  • 1 Yellow pepper, chopped
  • 1 Tin chopped tomatoes (400g)
  • 1 Tablespoon of tomato puree
  • 150ml water
  • Optional: Chicken or other protein. Serve with rice or jacket potatoes with guacamole

Slow Cooker Directions:

  1. Drain the tins of beans and add to your slow cooker pot with the tomatoes, tomato puree, peppers, onion and optional protein.
  2. Blend the Chilli Non Carne Sauce Mix with the water and add to the slow cooker pot, stir thoroughly.
  3. Cover and cook for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low or until the beans and vegetables are tender and cooked through (keep covered during cooking, cooking times may vary between slow cooker models).
  4. Remove the lid and stand for 5 minutes before serving.
  5. Serve with rice or jacket potatoes with guacamole

Cornflour, Dried Tomato, Salt, Sugar, Dried Onion, Spices (Chilli, Chilli Seeds, Cumin, Black Pepper), Natural Flavourings, Yeast Extract, Dried garlic, Colour Plain Caramel, Herbs (Thyme, Marjoram, Parsley, Oregano, Sage, Basil).
