Tsuno manufactures low-irritant disposable sanitary products from natural plant fibres and without the use of chlorine or dioxin bleach.
Sanitary pads are made from natural bamboo, a sustainable and eco-friendly fibre with low demands on resources and a natural resistance to pests and fungi. With a top sheet made from corn fibre, Tsuno pads are super absorbent, breathable, soft and antibacterial.
Tampons are made from certified organic cotton, grown without pesticides, fertilisers and unhealthy farming practices.
Wrapped in biodegradable sleeves and packaged in recyclable cardboard boxes that are printed with beautiful art works featuring Erin Lightfoot, Tim Royall, Evi O, Eloise Rapp, Andrea Shaw, Obus, Abbey Rich, Mirador, Kip & Co, Natalie Byrne, The Souvenir Society and Everyday Ambitions.
Tsuno is a social enterprise and donates 50% of all profits to charities working to empower women, with the main focus being education and menstrual support. Tsuno works in partnership with One Girl, an organisation providing education scholarships and sanitary pads to marginalised girls in Sierra Leone and Uganda, and is proud to have already donated to and continue to support the work of The International Women's Development Agency, Share the Dignity, The Asylum Seekers Resource Centre, The Rough Period, The Asylum Seekers Centre Newtown and Essentials for Women South Australia.
