Penne is a variety of pasta that is loved all around the world for its versatility. Invented in north-western Italy, Penne gets its name from its shape; a short cylindrical tube with angled edges inspired by a quill (or pen).
Penne can be used in lots of different recipes and is an especially good choice for baked pasta dishes. It holds up well in the oven and allows for a perfectly sized mouthful. Try using this gluten free pasta in a carbonara bake with vegetables.
Pasta Roma Gluten Fee Penne is a good source of plant based protein and super allergy friendly. Produced in an allergen free facility, it is wheat free, egg free and contains no milk and no soy. Endorsed by Coeliac Australia, this gluten free pasta is suitable for those with coeliac disease.
Each carton contains 8 of 350g bags of Penne.
- For each 350g of pasta, bring 5 litres of water to the boil (salted to taste).
- Add pasta and return to boil. Stir gently and continue to boil for 9-11 minutes to desired texture.
- Drain and serve with your favourite sauce.
