FODMAP

According to Monash University, FODMAPs are a group of sugars that cannot be digested or absorbed in the intestines and can lead to discomfort and pain, especially those with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). They are found naturally in many foods and food additives and include Fructans, Fructose and Lactose.

A FODMAP diet is one that is low in short-chain carbohydrates that cause digestive symptoms.
